About this podcast
Welcome to Kee to Success
My name is Vernon Kee. I'm a high school teacher in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
I started teaching in 2006 but my undergrad is in mechanical engineering and I worked as a project manager in the automotive industry before I became a teacher.
Careers have always been a passion for me because I didn't have a straight path in my career, nor did I feel I had enough guidance in making career decisions.
With every year I taught, I kept in touch with my grads. Through Facebook or Linkedin, I watched my grads grow into very successful people.
So I created this podcast as kind of a legacy piece to my career and as a way to share with the world the amazing things my grads have done so others could learn from them.
Because finding a career you love isn't usually straight forward. And getting the career you love isn't always easy.
The second reason I made this podcast is to give students something to get off of computer screens. This podcast was made during the horrible covid pandemic of 2020. With online learning increasing, so was the amount of time staring at a screen. The podcast gives students a rich learning experience while going out for a walk, stretching, or just lying on their bed. The point is to give them an opportunity to get away from the screen for both their mental and physical health.
This podcast is dedicated to the one student out there whose life will be changed and they end up finding a career they love as a result of listening to this podcast.
